CalTopo map tiles; “MapBuilder Topo” , “Forest Service (2016)” and “Elevation Data” for the area shown in the training map. Scenario: Team Log- Stardate, 4320.2 Our team has been dispatched to a popular resort location on Earth, known locally as “Donner Summit” to investigate the disappearance of a 98 year old man and his 16 year old golden retriever mix. The two were last seen hiking north from the Donner Ski Ranch parking lot at 02:35, Thursday 10.08.20. They were reported missing on Monday, 10.12.20 and their car was still located at the DSR parking. Our mission is to follow the route and look for clues noted in the map document prepared by Troy, CalTopo- Training Map We will determine if the man and his dog are still located in the search area, or, if a science team needs to be called in to determine if the two have slipped through a rift in the space/ time continuum. Clem Jenkins- is a 98 year old male. H- 5’8” W- 125 lbs. grey hair, last seen wearing a cashmere robe and a sage green backpack. The dog, “Charlie, SOB”- is a 16 year old, Golden Retriever/ Newfoundland mix. Medium build, 60 lbs. Seen wearing an orange Ruff Stuff backpack. Despite their age, Clem and Charlie are in exceptional health. Both are former ultra athletes, who regularly overnight in the mountains on 1-3 mile outings. Neither has underlying health impediments and the weather has been warm and clear since their departure on Thursday. A trip report was found in Clem’s car, describing the route that he and Charlie intended on hiking as well as the location of possible campsites the two planned to stay at. They carried provisions for 2 nights out. The trip report also made reference to “finally locating the Holy Grail” and “pulling the Excalibur!” Conventional wisdom would indicate that the Holly Grail was reference to escaping the throngs of tourists who have been flooding into the area. Additional investigation has led to the formulation of a second theory. The Donner Summit Historical Society reports on the fabled, Sword in the stone. Upon arrival, our sensors have detected a sub-space particle emission which generated a quasi- molecular flux at approximately the same time and location that the man and his dog would have been camping. A nearby atmospheric monitoring station on Donner Summit reported an unusually high presence of spatially inverted Tetrion particles emanating from a sub-space manifold, which could indicate a tear in the space/ time continuum. If Clem and Charlie are not found in the search area, there is strong evidence to suggest a connection between the Sword in the Stone and the rift in the space-time continuum.
